3. Editing pages

All your website pages are located in the [Pages] folder. Every page of your website is represented by an Article record in eP. The structure of articles inside the [Pages] folder is identical to the structure of the main website menu (menu, sub-menus, sub-sub-menus, etc.) This allows you to easily create, edit and delete pages from your website.

To create a new page, simply select its parent record - i.e. the [Pages] folder if it's a new main (top level) page, or another page if it's a new sub-page. Select Article from the drop-down record type menu and click Create.

Once you've created a new page, fill in its Title, which will also be used as the new button label in the website menu.

You may change its Order number if other than alphabetical sorting is required.

Usually you don't change the Status to Public until the page is completely ready to be displayed on your website.

The optional Long Title will be displayed as the page title on your website and also in the document 'meta title' used by search engines for indexing of your content. This allows you to keep menu button labels short while still having the benefit of better search engine optimisation (SEO).

The optional Description will also be used by search engines and displayed in their search result lists.

In the Content area you can insert and edit page text.
